Drinking water is essential for hydration and there are so many benefits to increasing your daily intake. Most people don’t drink enough water each day, and for some it can even be a task to drink it. We do get some of the daily intake from other sources without thinking about it. Such as coffee or even the food we eat. However, it can be hard to know exactly how much water we should be drinking each day. About 3.7 liters of fluids for men and about 2.7 liters of fluids a day for women. Of course, everyone is different and intake amounts may be vary. Some may need less, and some may need more.  The goal is knowing your body for all the amazing benefits we can get from staying hydrated and healthy.

If drinking water can be difficult for you, here are some helpful tips:

Try adding fruit

This has become a popular way to jazz up the way we drink. Infusing water with strawberries, cucumbers, or orange slices can make water more enjoyable and you can get some extra vitamins in.

Schedule drinking times

A glass before bed, a glass or two after yoga and so on. When we think about the process and the benefits of our efforts it helps. Even downloading an app to help track is an option if you are a person who enjoys a more engaging experience.

Carry a bottle of water with you

Having the option and access rather than picking other choices really narrows competition. You can purchase some cute water bottles as well that always makes drinking water more fun.

Invest in a water purifier

These pitchers make water taste so much better! This way you can avoid purchases of plastic water bottles for the house as well and enjoy fresh clean water from home.

If you do not care for fruit you can always add herbs.

Mint, lemongrass, and ginger can be great additions to water. Of course, adding some additional benefits to the process.
