How to incorporate creating art into your day?

As a creative person I am always looking for ways I can express myself, sometimes, it can be hard to make the time. While there are many tasks going on in daily life there are ways to incorporate the hobby in. Remember that art and creating is something you are doing for you. There is no pressure and prioritizing some time for the creativity can be greatly beneficial. Prioritize creativity means allowing a simple 15 minutes or an hour. It doesn’t matter how much time we have. We often think we need mass amounts of time when just a little time can help us release. Usually, it is nice to come back to the work and see it refreshed before continuing the process.

3 ways to make more time for art

  • Don’t be critical on yourself. We judge ourselves especially when it comes to or work. Not all work is for other people to see. Keep a sketch book dedicated for you just your viewing and take it with you so it is available when you have a moment. Not everything has to be a finished and perfected work of art.
  • Try an adult coloring book. Both available digital or hard copy it is an easy way to unwind and be creative at the same time. Especially if you are lacking time this way you can come back whenever the time allows you to.
  • Invest in a portable paint palette that way you will have access to some paint when inspiration sparks. Never know when you might want to paint a scene or just free your mind and put something on a blank piece of paper.

Remember that art and creating is something you are doing for you. Have fun and let go. There is no pressure and prioritizing some time for the creativity can be greatly beneficial.
