Halloween Bucket List: Making October Memorable!

Halloween is one of the best holidays there is. The weather includes the perfect temperatures and gorgeous autumn colors. The people are extra nice. Everyone is getting outdoors and enjoying themselves. Plus, we get to live out our dreams at the end of the month. The atmosphere of the season is so intoxicating. There are so many fun activities that you could take part in this Halloween season. We’ve put together a list of all the things you must try.

Pick your costume

Picking the perfect costume can be difficult. It is the time of year that you can be anything. Here’s a few pointers to keep in mind when trying to decide.
1. Have fun with it. Don’t be afraid to be goofy and explore the comedic aspect.

2. Have a group costume. This can be a little bit harder to coordinate, but they usually turn out fantastic.

3. Tap into your inner child. What did you always wish you could be when you’re younger?

Plan a party

Plan a costume party for friends and family to come together and have a little spooky fun. A Halloween party can be so much fun because you can have creepy food and decorations. Plus, you can see everyone’s creative costume ideas. Have a few activities planned at different stations to keep everyone entertained so you don’t have to go crazy.

Go haunted housing

Haunted houses are kind of like a roller coaster ride. We do them for the thrill. We may be petrified to start, but we’re laughing by the end wanting to go again. Don’t let your fears stop you from enjoying yourself.

Spooky movie marathon

You can’t go through this month without watching some scary movies. Pick some of your favorite flicks to put on. It may not be a bad idea to have a friend come over in case you get a little too spooked.

Decorate or carve pumpkins

Get some pumpkins for decoration. You can put them around the house, paint some, and carve jack-o-lanterns.

Read a thriller

Find a good book to read this season. Some good options would be a mystery novel, a thriller, or even something about aliens,

Go to a murder mystery

A murder mystery is when an event is hosted and a “murder” occurs. All of the people at the party play a character and the attendees have to investigate to solve the crime. It’s a unique way to enjoy your day.

Tell ghost stories

Gather all of your friends and when it’s late at night. Tell your best ghost stories. Don’t forget the flashlights in case something goes bump in the night.

Make pumpkin seeds

Have a nice little healthy snack by making homemade pumpkin seeds. Save the seeds from when you carve pumpkins. Clean them up and boil them for 5 minutes. Then, you pat them dry, add oil, and season them how you like. Put them on parchment paper and bake at 350 degrees farenheit for approximately 10-20 minutes. They’re done when they are golden on the edges. Enjoy!

Eat candy

The candy doesn’t have to be just for the kids. Enjoy your favorite treats.

Have a bonfire

On those cooler nights, start a little fire with and sit around it with a blanket and warm drink. If you’re in a place where you can see them, stare up at the stars and enjoy that twinkling wonder.

Put up decoration

The Halloween season wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t decorate. It is what sets the vibe for the entire month. Get out your best decorations and go crazy. No surface should be left untouched.

Spook your neighbors

A nice little thing to do is to spook your neighbor. This is a tradition where you put together a small goodie bag for your neighbors and leave it on their doorsteps. They will appreciate the nice gesture.

Have fun at the pumpkin patch

There’s only one way that you should be getting your pumpkins and that is by going to a local pumpkin patch. Support them by buying a few pumpkins, partaking in their activities, and spreading the word of your experience.

Pick apples

Go to an apple farm and pick apples. Apples are a lovely treat and your can create so many other goodies from them like pie, cider, doughnuts.
