What are you doing now?

With this question you should think about what phase in life are you in. Is your job contributing to the “stuck” feeling? Are you financially stable? Are you happy with your status? These are all topics to consider. Basically, you are trying to pinpoint where the issues lays so that it can be corrected.

Where do you want to be in 5 years?

What do you want most out of life? What are you constantly daydreaming of having? Brainstorm what your goals are so that a plan of attack can be formed.

What actions do you need to take to meet your goals?

Some actions include:

·         If you’re unhappy with your job, apply to different positions or companies.

·         Is your career not going anywhere? Get a degree or take classes to give you an edge.

·         Would you like to buy a house? Pay down debts and save for a down payment.

Find corrective actions for your root issues. Follow through with them to see the changes take place.

It may sound cliché, but a strong mindset will take you as far as you allow it. You have to be willing to dedicate a lot of time and hard work to get where you want to be. Keep a 5 year plan and revisit it occasionally for adjustment and motivation. Most of all, you have to remember that changes will take time. Don’t get discouraged. Keep with it and you will see the changes sooner than you think. I have faith in your abilities.
